This is a personal website. It has no cookies, no advertising and no tracking across other sites. This page explains the little it does collect.

Visit statistics

I use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which parts they look at. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device.

For each page view it records the page address, the site you came from, your country, region and city (worked out from your connection, not stored as an address), your browser, operating system and device type, and the time.

To count unique visitors, Vercel uses a code calculated from your request instead of a cookie, and discards it after 24 hours. I only see totals, so I cannot tell who you are.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel processes your IP address to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. See Vercel's privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy

Stored in your browser

If you use the light / dark switch, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the page remembers it. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it with your browser's site data.

Other services

The fonts are served by this site, not by Google or another font service.

The weather on the page comes from Open-Meteo, but this site's own server fetches it: your browser does not contact Open-Meteo.

Links to LinkedIn and Medium take you to those sites, where their own privacy policies apply.

Legal basis and your rights

The visit statistics are based on my legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), using as little data as possible.

You can ask what data relates to you, ask for it to be deleted, or object, by emailing balint@hudecz.com. You can also complain to the Hungarian data protection authority, NAIH: naih.hu
